This movie is based on a true story, which makes it more interesting that it otherwise might be. During World War II the Nazi dreamed up "Operation Bernhard," a scheme in which Jewish counterfeiters and experts in the printing industry were forced to produce fake British pounds to help fund the Nazi war machine and undermine the British economy. Once successful, the Nazis were intent on doing the same with the U.S. Dollar.
